**March 17, 2020 –
Coronavirus (COVID-19) Policy**
North Madison
Veterinary Clinic recognizes that our clients may have some anxiety and stress
surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) disruption on our routines and social
interactions both today and in the near future.
We want to assure you that we are committed to the health of our staff,
clients, and their pets.
To that end, we have
been monitoring the situation. Based on
the recommendations from our government agencies and the American Veterinary
Medical Association we want to provide the best care we can to your pets while
protecting our staff and the general public.
The following guidelines
have been put in place to reduce the potential for spread of any infectious
disease in our clinic:
·
Cleaning and
disinfecting are standard protocol in our clinic, and we are increasing the
frequency of these sanitizing procedures.
·
We are instructing
any staff that feel sick to stay home.
·
We insist that if you
are not feeling well, exhibiting any cold or flu-like symptoms, or have been
exposed to the virus to not come into the clinic. If your pet needs immediate care, please
allow another person to bring your pet to the clinic.
·
If you would like to
limit your exposure to our lobby and exam rooms, we are offering drop-off
appointments/car-side service. Please
call when you arrive with your pet and give our receptionist your cell phone
number. A team member will come out to
your car. When the veterinarian is
examining your pet, she will call your phone with any questions or to discuss
any medical care needed. We will also
escort your pet back to your car at pickup.
Credit card payments can be made over the phone if necessary.
·
If you choose to come
into our building, we ask that only one family member accompany your pet.,
·
As always, our online
pharmacy is always open. Many of your
pet’s medications can be ordered online and shipped directly to your home. https://northmadisonvetclinic.securevetsource.com/site/view/193728_HomeDelivery.pml
·
Some
medications can be called into a local pharmacy if you are already going there
for your family’s medications. Please
call our office if you have questions about your pets medications.
Please
check back frequently as our policies may change based on recommendations of
our government agencies. We will update
you as soon as we have new information available. Thank you for your patience and understanding
during this time.
